met Mr. İzzet Akın in the first quarter of my English preparatory programme at
Doğuş University. In the beginning, I did not think the preparatory education was
going to be useful that much for me but Mr. Akın clearly proved me wrong. In fact,
the four months I spent with him were the most beneficial part of my English
education. I believe that Mr.Akın has a natural talent for teaching and he is fully
qualified to do it. Apart from his great English grammar knowledge, he has a wide
range of vocabulary which contains not only the formal words that help you in
academic writings but also the words, phrases and idioms which are commonly used in
spoken language. To understand an academic essay is one thing for sure, but to be
able to name the synonyms and antonyms of the words mentioned in that essay is
quite another. Mr. Akın seems to be highly enthusiastic and also successful in
sharing this enthusiasm with his students. I've never witnessed that any of his
students got bored during his lessons, even the least interested ones tried to
learn as much as they could and did their best. Another fascinating quality which
differentiates Mr.Akın from ordinary teachers is that he makes really good use of
puns and takes advantage of his great sense of humour in order to draw the
students' attention to the lesson and make sure that all of them stay focused on
it. In addition to all the things mentioned above, as far as I observed, he is
reputable and trustworthy among his colleagues and behaves in a friendly way
